The Crossroads of the American Revolution Association is the governing component of the proposed Crossroads of the American Revolution National Heritage Area. The Association is a 501(c) (3) non-profit corporation, with a diverse board of 20 New Jerseyans. This group will oversee the production of a management plan for the Crossroads NHA in consultation with residents and officials throughout the 14 counties included in the NHA's boundaries (initially determined by the National Park Service, but subject to expansion through regional initiatives). The Association board meets regularly, and quarters and office facilities are provided in the historic Van Horne House in Somerset County. At this stage, however, the board’s major challenge is engaging the state in an educational campaign on the potential of the Crossroads National Heritage Area.

What We Do
March 4, 2004  - Crossroads hosted an all-day Public Forum (funded by a grant from the NJ Historical Commission) in Morristown to initiate the first networking of NJ’s Revolutionary War sites and various conservation and preservation groups

Oct. 21, 2004 - Crossroads brought together 115 stakeholders from diverse backgrounds (education, tourism, environment, preservation, history, business, recreation, and the arts) in Princeton to explore creating an annual Celebrate New Jersey! festival.  With the resulting mandate, Celebrate New Jersey!  was launched with a coalition of 20 statewide organizations.  The purpose of Celebrate New Jersey!  is to unite, throughout June, 2005, in showcasing New Jersey’s contributions that have changed the nation and the world (from Colonial times to the present).   June, 2005 – Crossroads is coordinating a statewide, month-long, cross-marketing opportunity for groups in every sector of the state to showcase themselves and “be a NJ Booster”.  Becoming a Participating Group is FREE.  For more information, go to www.CelebrateNJ.org.
