Holmes-Henrickson-HouseMilitia 1st Lieutenant Garret Hendrickson was heavily involved in the irregular warfare that ravaged coastal Monmouth County. Wounded in a 1780 battle, he was kidnapped from his farmhouse two years later by Loyalists from Sandy Hook. Maintained by the Monmouth County Historical Association, the 1754 house exhibits mid-18th century furnishings and working tools.
