When a people searches for its dignity and pride, it looks to its roots. New Jersey's role in the American Revolution, underappreciated even within our state, was pivotal and extensive (half the Revolutionary War was fought on New Jersey soil). Caught between the opposing forces for eight long years, New Jersey was the battleground for America's freedom, hallowed by the sacrifices of the original patriots who lived, farmed, fought, and died here. Half of New Jersey's state parks commemorate Revolutionary War events. Every community has its story.

The Crossroads of the American Revolution is a statewide nonprofit established to celebrate New Jersey's Revolutionary War heritage through collaboration, education and conservation. We are a diverse board that represents NJ's historical, environmental, economic, educational and recreational interests.
