NJ Revolution Context Plan Map The Context Map shows the boundaries of the Crossroads heritage area relative to the Pinelands to the south, Coastal Heritage Trail to the east, and Highlands overlapping the heritage area to the north. Areas of development within the heritage area are shown in gradations of red, with the darkest red being the most heavily urbanized.

  NJ Revolution Protected Lands Map The Protected Lands Map shows lands within the heritage area that have some level of preserved status, either through public ownership, conservation easements, or special designation. Areas identified as Preservation Priority have received such special recognition within the Highlands. This map shows us which existing landscapes may already have been preserved in terms of historic landscape integrity to the period of the American Revolution.

Routes Map

NJ Revolutionary Landscape Map The Revolutionary War Landscape Map shows identified Revolutionary War era resources within the heritage area. A work in progress, this map is intended to show the current status of inventoried resources, including National Register sites and districts, engagement sites, period roads, and eighteenth century towns and villages. Key war-related routes are noted. Identified resources will be confirmed and additional resources will be added as an ongoing project of the heritage area and its partners.

  NJ Revolution Existing and Planned Touring Routes Map The Touring Routes Map shows existing byways, trails, and other linear driving, walking and hiking routes within the heritage area. These routes might be used as ways to experience the heritage area and link regions, resources, and attractions.
